In 2016, NatFem Original Balm was developed as a pH neutral hormone-free vaginal moisturiser. Made primarily for everyday comfort, Original Balm can also be used for intimacy (but do not use with condoms), as well as being able to be used anywhere else on the body and face.

It's made from organic and natural plant oils that are slowly infused with soothing and healing botanical extracts. All ingredients have been carefully selected to help moisturise, soothe, protect and calm the vulvovaginal area. The active botanical ingredients have a variety of benefits including wound healing, anti-itch, antimicrobial, and antifungal.
Can be used instead of hormonal creams, or as a complement to them.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL Archeus | NatFem Botanics balms have at least a 3 year shelf life. Just keep them stored in a cool dark place and they'll stay good for years.
If you prefer a product that does not contain beeswax or coconut oil we recommend you purchase NatFem Original Oil.
Our vegan balm option is Super-Soothing Balm.
How to Use
Apply a small amount with finger to the vulva and vaginal opening, or wherever else on the body or face you wish to use it. Reapply as often as needed. Be aware that oil products can stain fabrics so only use a small amount. We recommend you patch test on your inner elbow before use.
If using for intimacy, applying NatFem balm to your partner before sex also works well. DO NOT use with condoms.

Ingredients
Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) oil*, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil*, Cera alba (Beeswax)*, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) oil, * Plantago major (Plantain) extract*, Calendula officinalis (Calendula) extract*, Stellaria media (Chickweed) extract*, Centella asiatica (Gotu kola) extract*, Aloe barbadenis (Aloe) extract*, Tocopherol, Alphabisabolol.
Has a three year shelf life.
All the ingredients in NatFem play nicely with the delicate vulval vaginal tissue and biome. There is no glycerin or glycols in it, which means it is not introducing a substance that is detrimental to lactobacillus and the mucosal membranes.
We use a low-heat percolation method for botanical extraction. This process ensures extracts of the highest quality without compromising the integrity of active components found naturally in the plant material.
Please note: this product is made with natural ingredients. This can result in slight variations in texture, colour and aroma between batches. The consistency of the balm will respond to changes in temperature.
Other Details
Prior to April 5, 2025, Original Balm was sold in 30ml and 60ml jars. It is now available in 50ml jars only. Making this change has enabled us to reduce some costs and pass the savings on to you.

Consistency: The consistency of the balm will respond to changes in temperature. If it is too soft, pop it in the fridge for half an hour to firm it up. Or, if it is too hard, stand in in warm water. Also know that it will melt on contact with body heat.

This is a natural hormone-free alternative to other vaginal creams. This makes it suitable for use for women who cannot use estrogen creams.
We slowly infuse medicinal herbs into our certified organic base oils so we can capture the beneficial properties of each plant

Plantain
Plantain has flavonoids, Zinc and B-Carotene. It cools and soothes skin and delicate membranes and is approved by the German Commission E for use on mucosa including pharyngeal cancers. So like to use it for the genital area.
Beeswax
Beeswax is known as a remedy for inflammation, burns, and cracked heels. We love the way it adds structure to Original Balm and soothes and repairs delicate skin.
Gotu kola
Gotu kola is regarded as a venous tonic, wound healer and dermatological agent known to reduce stretch marks, inflammation, and used in the treatment of haemorrhoids and psoriasis.
