Postpartum Changes
A person can expect changes to their vagina after giving birth. Vaginal dryness and itching can occur during breastfeeding because of the drop in estrogen.

Menopause
As we go through natural, or medically induced menopause, our hormone levels change. The drop in estrogen levels can give rise to a number of issues including vulvovaginal dryness.

Medical Interventions
Some medical treatments and medications can affect vaginal and vulval health, creating discomfort and dryness which can beenfit from the soothing relief given by our vaginal moisturisers.
Natural Support
Our Original Balm and Original Oil products have been created specifically for soothing and repairing delicate vulval and vaginal tissue and are helpful with conditions including:
Pelvic Health
Pelvic health is the study and treatment of disorders that impact the pelvic floor which are the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that support the pelvic organs — the bladder, vagina and uterus (female) and rectum. Damage to or weakening of the pelvic floor can impact the normal functioning of these organs. NatFem vaginal moisturisers are recommended by pelvic heath physiotherapists to help with a range of these issues.
Dryness
Vaginal dryness is a natural symptom of declining estrogen levels. As estrogen drops, the vaginal wall thins and delicate vulvovaginal skin can become sensitive and split.
NatFem vaginal moisturisers can help relieve the discomfort or vaginal and vulval dryness. They be used daily, or just when needed.
NatFem provides a natural and hormone-free alternative to estrogen creams (which are commonly used for dryness).
You can use them on their own, or alongside other products such as steroidal or estrogen creams.
Itching
Your vulva includes the soft folds of skin that surround your vagina, including your labia majora (the outer folds), labia minora (vaginal lips) and your clitoris. Your vulva may become inflamed because of an infection, allergic reaction or injury that irritates your skin, or conditions such as lichen sclerosus. Symptoms include itching, burning, redness and swelling, small cracks on the skin of your vulva.
NatFem Original Balm and Oil have been formulated with herbs with anti-itch, antibacterial and antifungal properties to help genmtly bring relief and repair to the vulvovaginal area.
Painful Sex
Painful sex can be the result of vaginal dryness, or other pelvic health issues. NatFem vaginal moisturisers can enhance intimacy and help ease postcoital burning and pain.
Urinary Tract Infections
Changing hormone levels affect the vulvovaginal biome and this can lead to an increased susceptibility to urinary tract infections.
NatFem vaginal moisturisers are made from plant oils and extracts and because they are waterless, they act as a barrier cream. NatFem Original Balm is particularly effective for this use. We have gathered much anecdotal evidence from our customers that regular use of NatFem has decreased their instances of UTI's.
Autoimmune disorders
Autoimmune conditions such as Sjogren's can affect mucus membranes and contribute to vaginal dryness and vulval pain. Used daily, NatFem can help keep this region soothed and moisturised.
